
Judith Kuegler - Mixed Media Artist
Although born in German to German parents, Judith Kuegler grew up among tribal communities in Nepal and Indonesia.
Fueled by the rich color and texture of the jungle landscape, her interest in creating art began at a very early age. To this day, her art reflects her life in the jungle.
After completing two A levels in Cardiff, Wales, Judith moved to Hamburg, Germany to begin art college. In 1994 she moved to the USA to continue her studies in art and psychology. She now lives in North Carolina with her husband and two sons.
Her work has been published in a variety of publications such as, Victoria Magazine, American Scientist, Mother Verse, Juno, Compleat Mother Magazine and New Beginnings. Judith participates in the annual Changing Faces of Midwifery: Birth Art Show at the East End Gallery as well the Carrboro and Hillandale Art Walks and MOMart. She has collaborated with her sister Sabine Kuegler in creating a tribute to their life in the jungle.
